MMSU-DepEd in Bonsai-Making

The Department of Education-City Schools Division of Batac in partnership with the Extension Directorate spearheaded the conduct of a Skills Training on Bonsai-Making at MMSU Bonsai School this March 5-7, 2018.

This initiative is a hands-on learning mechanism designed for 10 learners enrolled in the Alternative Learning System of the Division. A three-day seminar-workshop, the activity is a mixture of topics from appreciation of the art in bonsai-making, choosing the plant material for the craft, wiring, and packaging the plant for entrepreneurial activities.

Faculty from the College of Agriculture, Food, and Sustainable Development served as lecturers and trainers for the activity facilitated by the DepEd-Division of Batac Family headed by Dr. Marilou Sales, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division.
