College of Business Economics and Accountancy (CBEA)

As a manifestation of the vow to help build communities and lives, the CBEA extends enterprise development assistance to more women and farmers turned agripreneurs in Brgy. Camandingan, Batac City.  Fourteen (14) women and farmers in the Barangay enrolled under the Community and Enterprise Development Program (CEDP) of the College and applied for financial assistance. Before the applicants were extended financial assistance, they were coached on how to manage their farm activities in a business-like manner and assisted them in the preparation of their business and financial plans.   The 14 applicants were granted financial assistance ranging from 5,000.00 to P10,000.00 each depending on the nature of business and the capacity to pay.  A total of P103,000.00 was extended payable within six months at a very minimal interest.

The beneficiaries ventured into crop production, hog fattening, fruit and vegetable vending, sari-sari store, food processing and vending. The components of the integrated package of assistance provided are:  business and enterprise management coaching and training; technical assistance in bookkeeping and financial management; and regular monitoring and evaluation of their business projects.

Aside from serving as the financial arm of the Extension Directorate to support budding entrepreneurs, the College also conducted several training and consultancy activities along cooperative education, entrepreneurship and financial management, business plan preparation, personality development and tour guiding, governance and community development, and others.
