The Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) and the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice-Batac) are continuing their tradition of Rice Paddy Art. For their 8th establishment, the artwork will honor CHED Chairperson and former MMSU President, Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis. The design will feature her portrait alongside her 7-point agenda, ACHIEVE.

This yearly event, which began in 2018, is a way to promote new rice production methods and boost agri-tourism in the province. The launch will take place on August 22, 2025 at 8 a.m. at the Extension Demonstration area, near the MMSU twingate.
