For a month now, science- and technology-based information and technologies, testimonies of community members, and activity updates are beefing the radio program time slot and social media page. As a strategy to combat the rise of cases of dengue in the province, Mrs. Mary Ann G. In response to the increasing price of fertilizers, Dr. Nelly C. Antolin, the former dean of the College of Agroforestry and Forestry of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) in La Union, shares about the Bio-N, a seed inoculant for rice, corn, and other crops that complements 30-50% required inorganic fertilizer input for either seed inoculation, root inoculation, or soil inoculation. Bio-N is one of the technologies promoted by the University through the project, Sustaining Crop Productivity in Climate Vulnerable Areas of Ilocos Norte through Science and Technology Community-based Farms on Climate Resilient Technologies, and sustained through the Seedstock Dispersal Project of the University.
