NEWS BRIEF| Rotary Club of Laoag Sunshine and the City of Batac-Bakers Ph delivered vegetable growing materials

Four days after the launch of the Bio-Intensive Gardening Program to Empower Elementary Schools in the City of Batac—collaboratively initiated by MMSU, the Rotary Club of Laoag Sunshine, and the City of Batac—Bakers Ph delivered materials to be used for growing vegetables as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). These initial supplies include cans, containers, and bottles.
The materials will be distributed to four schools in Batac: Quiling Elementary School, Hilario Valdez Memorial Elementary School, Tabug Elementary School, and Mariano Marcos Memorial Elementary School.
Other key partners in this initiative include LGU-Batac through its City Agriculturist Office, the DepEd City Schools Division of Batac, and the Department of Agriculture RFU 1 – Ilocos Norte Experiment Station.
In the coming days, capacity-building activities will be conducted for parents and guardians to expand family livelihood opportunities, alongside participatory monitoring and comprehensive documentation.
