New set of IEC materials, now ready for distribution

12 new titles of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials are now available in the Extension Directorate for distribution to interested farmers, women, LGUs, agencies, and other partners-in-progress of the University. 

A brochure-type reading material, the Office houses 1,000 copies of each title along with three-fold IECs on crop production, food processing, product development, farm technologies, and livestock raising. Of this new set, five titles were produced as a complement of the information floated through the recently School-on-the-Air (SOA) on Crops and Livestock Technologies. SOA titles include 1) Tarabay iti Naballigi  a Panagtaraken iti Dingo, 2) Tapno Alisto a Dumakkel dagiti Taraken a Dingo, Pakanenda iti Urea-Molasses-Mineral Block (UMMB) ken Concentrate, 3)Agaramidtayo iti Binuro a Ruruot, 4) Organiko a Wagas ti Panangtaraon kadagiti Mula ken Taraken a Dingo, and 5) Panangmanehar kadagiti Peste iti Kataltalunan.

The other seven titles are 1) Organiko a Wagas ti Panagtaraken iti Tilapia, 2) Agaramidtayo iti Sand-Cooked Peanut, 3) Nagduduma a Wagas iti Panagproseso iti Makmakan, 4) Agaramidtayo iti Cornick, 5) Agprosesotayo iti Balanghoy, 6) Agiprosesotayo iti Bawang ken Lasona, and 7) Paaduen ken Taginayonentayo ti Kanen dagiti Dingo. These IECs were published this November 2018 along with other STCBF titles such as 1) Napasayaat a Wagas iti Panagmula iti Pagay, 2) Agaramat iti Carrageenan para iti Nangato nga Apit a Pagay, 3) Para iti Nangato nga Apit: Agaramat iti Seed Inoculant, 4) Napasayaat a Wagas ti Organiko a Panagtalon, 5) Napasayaat a Wagas ti Panagmula iti Mais, and 5) Napasayaata a Wagas ti Panagmula iti Mani.

The IECs were written in the vernacular for full comprehension of the information shared and technologies promoted. For this, these IECs are expected to serve as complementary reading materials to the farmers in their continuing journey to organic farming, food processing, and product development, for a more productive and innovative Ilocandia.
